Apart from producing a traditional Barbaresco in larger vats, we also produce a Barbaresco Sori Brudin, which is refined in barriques (up to 225-litres in capacity). This procedure, which distinguishes a group of winemakers of Langhe, has placed wines such as Barbaresco and Barolo in the international limelight within just a few years, being celebrated today as the best Italian wines. The length of the refinement process of a wine in barriques—varying between 12 and a maximum of 24 months—depends on the experience which has been gathered over the years. During this phase this exquisite wine gains its refinement, lending the product an ever smoother and more elegant character which caresses the more discerning palate.
